DIY : Deep Conditioning Avocado Hair Mask

What's better than pampering yourself ? Avocados are not only utterly delicious but great for your hair and skin. Today i am going to be telling you the benefits and  how to make this easy inexpensive deep conditioning avocado hair mask that leaves your hair incredibly soft  strong and shiny

First , i know i haven't posted in a long time but hey welcome back to my blog . Anyways..

I love this DIY hair mask! Not only is it easy to make with ingredients that you might already have in your kitchen , it's also natural and free of harsh chemicals .

Avocados are one of the most nutritionist foods . They are high in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats. This fat adds shine to the hair . They also contain Vitamin E which adds shine to the hair it also aids in hair growth and prevents hair loss. It has been known for its healing properties for dry brittle hair. Avocados also contain Vitamins A, C and K.

There are many different ways to make this mask , with different ingredients . But the one i am showing you is the one that has worked for me the best .

Another ingredient you might have lying around your house might be . Extra virgin olive oil . I love this stuff! It's great for your body , hair and skin . One of the best oils out there hands down .Olive oil adds weight and moisture to your hair . It is a natural conditioner and adds incredible softness and shine to the hair . High in Vitamins E and A helps in the healing of cells. Personally , olive oil makes my hair grow faster than any other oil .

I also like to add a bit of honey to this mask . Honey is naturally antimicrobial and has hydrating properties. It is great for the body and skin and hair . It adds moisture back  as it retains water.

Enough rambling , onto the recipe :

* Increase quantity if hair is longer and thicker
  • Half a mashed avocado
  • 2 tbsp warm extra virgin olive oil
  • 1-2tbsp 100% natural honey

That's it ! It's so easy! Mash up the avocado and depending on the amount of hair you have you might need more or less . Be sure to fully mash it up and there aren't any chunks in the mixture. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well . The mixture should be a  pasty semi-liquid consistency.

Apply this mixture to clean , tangle free hair focusing more so on the ends as that's where the hair is the most damaged . Once applied all over , try and wear a shower cap to seal in the moisture and wait from around 25 mins to even an hour . The longer  you leave the mask to penetrate your hair the better . Use cold water to rinse out the hair and then shampoo and condition as usual . Use cold water for the last rinse .Style hair as usual.
You will notice a phenomenal  difference in the way your hair looks and feels! It will not only feel softer and shinier but look healthier and more rejuvenated . I personally love this mask especially in the winter time when my hair is feeling extra dull and dry
